Many sensitive people have a problem being around the suffering of another because it is personally painful and mentally distressing. They cannot help the one that is suffering because they are in pain themselves. This is because as long as one carries seeds of suffering inside, the suffering of others will cause their own anguish to re-ignite. This is why the bodhisattvas extinguished their own s uffering to become capable of helping others.

Freedom and Feeling Trapped

Image
Miscommunication and confusion are the natural ways of samsaric living; there are gaps in talent within nearly all human beings because they’re not yet multidimensional. By existing in the human realm while separated from our actual form as a unique individual means that we don’t exist in our capacity for fullness. The life process is sparse by comparison to what it could be. When multidimensional  levels of consciousness open within the support of subtle mind and begin to wake up with sincere practice, the student has a new view of the world, themselves and the possibilities. However, before becoming awake, no one has enough life force to be able to contain a pure enlightened lifestyle.

Healing Love, Tibetan Protectors and other musings...

Image
Seems like most folks have attachments to what’s causing them suffering because it’s somewhat useful; for example, hanging onto a job that they hate. Well, they can’t say it’s completely bad; it’s somewhat useful because they give money ev ery week. Perhaps you have lousy relationships with family, friends or boyfriend/girlfriend, but at least sometimes you get along; you can’t say it’s all bad.  Somewhat similarly, we might apply standards of partial benefit toward our own flaws however; an ambiguous relationship with our bad habits makes it hard to change. We might want to get rid of anger or jealousy, or whatever we use to experience our personal suffering, but also feel resistant. Perhaps we feel that we have an investment in maintaining them because there’s something there that we crave… possibly some strong feeling we want to hold onto. The teachings of dharma will help us to overcome the crutch of craving toward personality flaws as identity. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~ “ E...

Why Are We Compassionate?

Image
We are compassionate because it is the social lubricant, the healing balm and the most powerful force in the universe! - Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---"

Wonderful World!

What a wonderful world it would be where healing is the highest study! The only world worth living in is one that is completely healed, container and contained! This description of a pure land has been sponsored by The Great Path and its employee owners! Get Halfway Healed First

Image
There has never been a time when no suffering existed. It has permeated every era, culture and place. We cannot reasonably expect that things will really get better in the future, as the past defines the present and the future. Living beings definitely must leave the suffering state, however, if they have become too damaged by suffering, they cannot be freed until they are substantially healed. Therefore we must do our best to reduce the suffering of others so they can be rescued.

Thought for Saturday on Healing Motivation (read in Eng,Sp,Fr,Ger,It)

Image
From where does extraordinary motivation arise; the one that wishes to heal others? Whether trying to heal others or ourselves, the most effective method of connecting to healing energies is developing altruistic great compassion, the foundation of healing itself. Naturally, if a person is not well, they have an active and involved interest in healing from the viewpoint of a patient. However, there are others who want to understand energetic healing out of a sense of curiosity. By wishing to spiritually realize the mystical incantations that some healers use, feel the laying on of hands; they can sense that something magical is happening that feels good. Still others have a more pragmatic view, adding energetic healing to the creation of causes and conditions for healing to arise in harmony with allopathic medicine. Due to karma from previous actions ripening, some people will be the patient, some will be the spiritual sensualists, and others will dive into wishing to help others. Each...

Thought for Saturday on trust issues (read in Eng,Sp,Fr,Ger,It)

Image
How sad for people who, although they identify themselves as practicing Buddhists, continue to live with damaged trust systems without availing themselves of the healing possible. Actively distrusting others or using a passive lack of trust by avoiding contact with other people are poor protective devices! These damaging perceptions toward others act as a harmful filter, having many far-reaching effects. The everyday lives of people with acknowledged “trust issues” live in a world that is gradually shrunken; the sphere of their influence in the world becomes smaller and smaller. By holding onto wounds that cause mistrust without making effort to heal, an ability to trust in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha is weakened or perhaps even nonexistent. These sad and suffering people, with much to offer others, cannot truly be Buddhist, as the Buddhist path requires both an open heart and trust.

Healing the Overactive Limbic System

Image
"Healing of the limbic system holds an important key to transformation and its preparation stages. Alerting cues and clues come from inner minds that have become damaged. It is important to calm this over reaction as it acts to stimulate adrenalin rushes that have no physical emergency to deal with. Much mental suffering comes from reactive strategies that damages sensitive nerves in the physical because of this. In addition, the emerging inner nervous system of the practitioner can be shaken and damaged by rough adrenalin and chemical rushes" ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche~~~ "La curación del sistema limbic sostiene una llave importante a la transformación y sus etapas de preparación.

Qualities of a Healer

Image
At some point in spiritual practice, there is a gripping, heartfelt pain associated with seeing how much suffering there is. Many practitioners who are healers cannot endure that feeling; it is so powerful that it seems to be deeply rooted in perhaps a past life. This needing to be a healer, to acknowledge that suffering t is far-reaching. It is like having a bad toothache that you cannot stop touching. Every time you touch it, it causes the pain to intensify, but you cannot stop touching it. There are many different kinds of healers but there is a kind of healer that I love so much. A highly motivated healer who is trained and capable is someone who is also spiritually alert. Those who are called to being a healer have idealism to doing good in this world. It is an emotional response to one’s own spiritual development because it is possible to end suffering. The awakening of altruistic motivation needs to be cultivated so that we do not ride an emotional crest that can be disabli...
