Keep returning to high altruistic motivation if the mind drifts during meditation. The remembrance of high motivation is better than forcing the mind to memorize the parts of a virtuous object. Only one in a million meditators is competent to gently gather the mind back to that type of concentration when it has strayed. In my opinion, concentration will come naturally when the obstacles to concent ration are gone. Bodhichitta is guilt free. The delusions have twisted our natural innocence into compromising situations that have become causes of guilt. Worse yet... we have become seduced into believing that it is good and beneficial to knowingly do what is wrong or to avoid doing the right thing. Emptiness points to the release point of constrictions holding mind to a superficial self referent use of the actual life force. It describes the confusions in painful detail with "not this, not that!" There is great potential for advanced life force activities beyond the veils and barriers of the human hypnotic view on the way to fu ll awakening of Buddhahood.
