Karma, Transformation and other Buddhist musings....

Uplift your own mood to light up the path for others. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~
- Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---

Another aspect of karma is that it is definite. For example: a farmer purchases corn for seed and plants it carefully. He waters it or it rains, the sun shines down, and that corn begins to sprout. Then, for whatever reason, that farmer goes to his field and commands that crop, “You will not grow up as corn. You will grow up as wheat.” Will his wish be enough to prevent that corn from coming up as corn?
Student: Maybe.
R: We’ve got a believer in magical thinking.
S: Anything is possible.
R: Anything is possible with sufficient time, energy and magical ability (laughs). However, in any normal situation the farmer’s wish would not be enough to prevent that from coming up as anything except corn.
S: From a quantum mechanical viewpoint, there’s a probability that sometimes this particle could be here, or it could be here or it could be here. It could happen that they all aligned in such a way that it produces wheat.
R: In a universe of infinite possibilities, overwhelmingly comprising corn, that that might be so.
S: It is a very small, small probability that the crop would grow as wheat.
R: Infinitesimal.
S: It is actually all of that at once.
R: So…. in some infinite, distant universe all of the corn crop could be wheat due to the farmer’s wishes. Probably, but according to this example it isn’t. The example is pointing a finger at the reason that I’m giving, which is that karma is definite. When the causes and conditions come together the result will occur. When all of the causes and conditions are ripe, the event will definitely occur. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~

R: Unendlich klein.
S: Tatsächlich ist es alles auf einmal.
R: Also….

The transformative path of the tantras literally recreates you energetically from the inside out. You will no longer be a suitable inhabitant for the confusion and dismay of this world. You will move on in evolutionary development ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~

- Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---

All authentic teachings about emptiness can be boiled down to one word: duh, rather than perpetuating a complicated fascination with exotic esoterica. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~

Many think that we must oppose the beliefs of others in order for our truth to be real ~

  1. So emptiness is probably the ground of any transformation?
And stiff views and other solidifications are a hindrance. Increasing complexicity isn't the only direction of evolution? There is an evolutionary development by practicing virtues and letting go of that would be de-evolution? Not the same like entropy? More questions than comments nonetheless hopefully helpful and proper. Thank you for teaching and sharing and caring dear Domo Geshe Rinpoche! Best wishes from lower saxony to Wisconsin and world!
