Returning to Balance to Hear Wisdom

Returning to balance is neither exciting or emotionally rewarding. The sensation is feeling absolutely normal.
Balance is a closure to stress on our inner being. It is the set point of our natural and cultivated nature that we must return to in order to again correctly stress ourselves to interact with the world and others according to who we actually are. It is the basis for the skillful actions of bodhisattvas and also for those we admire for their great common sense.
Balance is where wisdom connects with us. A high quality meditation practice can improve our nature, but if we do not make time and effort to return to balance, inner wisdom is useless! ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~

- Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---

  1. This is so beautiful.....it points to not looking for a "set inner experience" as a place to go to, in an effort to return to balance. And it is also this, that makes it tricky experientially. I will imbibe what you have said here, thank you very much.
