The Spirit of Losar
In the days before Losar (Tibetan New Year), people are kept busy cleaning. Of course, guests might be coming, but it is also a psychological relief to have a clean house.
If we might think that the annual event of Losar will be celebrated with a clean house, why not really celebrate the spirit of New Year with a more purified mind? The great mantra of the Buddha of Higher Purification, Vajrasattva, is Om Vajrasattva Hum. Try reciting it while sweeping, doing dishes or taking a shower. ~Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~

In den Tagen vor Losar (dem tibetischen Neuen Jahr) sind die Leute mit saubermachen beschäftigt. Natürlich ist das so, weil Gäste kommen könnten, aber es ist auch psychologisch gesehen eine Erleichterung, ein sauberes Haus zu haben.
Wenn wir bedenken, dass das jährliche Losarfest mit einem sauberen Haus gefeiert wird, warum sollten wir dann nicht den Geist des Neuen Jahres wirklich mit einem reineren Geist feiern? Das große Mantra des Buddhas der Höheren Reinigung, Vajrasattva, lautet Om Vajrasattva Hum. Versuche es beim Kehren, Abwaschen oder Duschen zu rezitieren." - Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---

The awakening blessing is not like the gentle cascade of illuminating wisdom described in our meditation practice to be poured into our everyday mind that can be used for our spiritual growth. Of course, we want and need free time to meditate.
