Thought for Wednesday on Tulkus (read in Eng,Sp,Fre,Ger,Ital)

"Tulku means reborn or reincarnated one of a previous lama of a specific inner and outer lineage. There are four main methods that create Rinpoches. Some Rinpoches today are not tulkus but are blessed into the memories of a previous lama by a realized lama that knew the previous one. This is not an authentic tulku arisal but is quite unusual these days. There are those who are given a special mind transmission of another lama and then told they are such and such a name but there is actually not any connection between the child and the previous. This is also not a tulku. There are others who are little more than strategic political appointees. Perhaps the parents are wealthy and can support the monastery or are wishing to have status as parents of a Rinpoche. There are many political type appointees.

An authentic arisal comes from interior lineage of a particular lama, from the actual abode of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas connected to that previous. These tulkus can arise in any form and anywhere that Buddhas wish to appear for the benefit of living beings. The life process of a tulku does not belong to a person but remains the expression of Buddha wisdom interior, the actual owner of a tulku. They can also remain in hidden form their whole life if the proper conditions are not present. A wasted life it is called. In Tibetan Buddhism, it has always been considered to be a wasted life if the interior wisdom arises toward a female and so there are great efforts made to close the doors to that possibility. "Tulku signifie une renaissance ou d'un lama réincarné précédente d'une lignée spécifique intérieure et extérieure. Il existe quatre principales méthodes qui créent Rinpochés. Certaines Rinpochés aujourd'hui ne sont pas tulkus mais sont bénis dans les mémoires d'un lama précédent réalisé par un lama qui a su le précédent. Ce n'est pas une arisal Tulku authentique, mais est assez rare de nos jours. Il ya ceux qui bénéficient d'un esprit de transmission spéciale d'un autre lama et ensuite dit qu'ils sont tel et tel un nom, mais il n'y a effectivement pas de lien entre la des enfants et la précédente. Ce n'est pas non plus un tulku. Il y en ad'autres qui sont un peu plus de personnes nommées politiques stratégiques. Peut-être les parents sont riches et peuvent soutenir le monastère ou sont désireux d'avoir un statut en tant que parents d'un Rinpoché. Il ya beaucoup de politique nommées par type.

Une arisal authentique provient de la lignée de l'Intérieur d'un lama notamment, de la résidence effective des bouddhas et des bodhisattvas liée à celle précédente. Ces tulkus peuvent survenir dans n'importe quelle forme et en tout lieu que les bouddhas désirez comparaître pour le bénéfice des êtres vivants. Diese Tulkus können in jeder Form erscheinen und überall dort, wo Buddhas zum Wohle lebender Wesen erscheinen wollen. Der Lebensprozess eines Tulku gehört nicht einer bestimmten Person, sondern bleibt ein Ausdruck der inneren Weisheit des Buddha, welcher der eigentliche Besitzer des Tulku ist. Diese Tulkus können auch ihr ganzes Leben in einer verborgenen Form zubringen wenn die richtigen Umstände nicht vorhanden sind. Man nennt das ein verschwendetes Leben. Im tibetischen Buddhismus wurde es immer als Verschwendung angesehen wenn die innere Weisheit in weiblicher Form erschien und so werden grosse Anstrengungen unternommen, die Türen vor dieser Möglichkeit zu verschliessen."-Domo Geshe Rinpoche---"


"Tulku significa rinascere uno o reincarnazione di un Lama precedente di uno specifico lineage interiore ed esteriore. Ci sono quattro metodi principali che creano Rinpoce. Alcune Rinpoce oggi non sono tulku ma vengono benedetti nella memoria di un lama precedente da un lama capito che sapeva quello precedente. Questa non è una autentica arisal Tulku, ma è piuttosto inusuale in questi giorni. Ci sono quelli che hanno dato una trasmissione speciale mente di un'altra lama e poi ha detto che sono tali e quali un nome, ma non c'è in realtà alcuna connessione tra il bambino ed il precedente. Questo non è nemmeno una tulku. Ci sono altri che sono poco più che strategico nomine politiche.
