Your reality and Reality

Image
Reality is to be found interior to the world, interior to body and even mind. It has been discovered by the sages of all times that what is more subtle is more toward reality than the denseness of the physical world and is what brings rise to the manifestation of the appearance of the world, body and mind. You, who superficially appears to be here, is NOT actually the real living being that you presume to be present. You are a form, a version, of your individual actual living organism, which exists in another mode of being. While walking, sitting, thinking or performing any activity, it is only by virtue of the actual you, which is interior to yourself. Because it lives on a more subtle level, it is impossible to be discovered by dissection or by methods of science, since science has yet to determine what is life or what is mind, undiscoverable by present measurements. The actual one that you are is an untransformed energy being. That individual is not an American, not...

The Real You Inside

Image
Your highest level of spiritual development is your actual being. Wherever your actual being is located, that is where inner guru and your actual being are meditating. That is why it is so important to get your actual being back into its balanced place, a quantum vibrational shift from the density and stress of human activity. Highe r meditation cannot be done on the dense side. Those who force their actual being inappropriately to the outside usually have a kind of nervous disposition and do not make good meditators. When high-level blessings arrive, (which is the only catalyst for awakening), they are not in a configuration to actually meditate. They are all on the outside. Modern society encourages this, and it is not beneficial. If your highest personal development being is outside, (a diminished form), rather than in its balanced place, it will cause you to feel nervous and shaky in ordinary life. You need your actual being inside, on its own level, breathing its ...

Cultivating New Attitudes (Part three)

These examples from part two such as sleep, daydreaming and lost in rummaging through past memories you are already familiar. These show that your awareness could be either elsewhere or little aware while the world and activities are going on around you. However, this becomes a habitual method to hold your energy by perceiving your present moment as either in the future or in the past. I gave a teaching focusing on this subject called Cultivating Joy. It is very interesting and also has some meditations to help find the present moment. Some people use body awareness meditations or techniques in order to control or reduce fascination with mental events that prevent them from experiencing the feeling of being present. There are many body calming or mind calming meditations that will also help us to become more balanced or remain centered. The mind can then find some temporary rest and be aware without dwelling in the past or the future. Even with techniques to control your reactiv...

The Dumbing Down of Our True Nature (part four)

Image
In the previous column the nature of the inner being that is the real you inside was described. This being is the real practitioner inside; the energetic alive being that is capable of attaining the transformation of enlightenment after considerable preparation. This dramatic and sudden change causes it to transform energetically to another kind of being that has a profound effect on the emanation being, the ordinary person. This change also brings closure to its cycle of lives in the human realm even though its emanated form will continue to live out a human existence. The dramatic change usually causes the transformation to affect the person in the illusory human realm to wake up and become aware of their illusory nature. There should also occur a definitive break with the innate programming of the human realm. Before that transmutation happens, you might wonder, if that inner one is the real you, then exactly who are you? What is your function? You should become a more carefu...

The Dumbing Down of Our True Nature (part three)

All Buddhists pray to the inhabitants of the great realms of learning and progress such as the pure lands of the Buddhas and the bodhisattvas, in their realms, requesting release of the practitioner from the suffering human realm experience, isn't that so? These realms are visualized in Tantric practice and are described so the meditator can make connections to the Buddha and guidance beings associated with the Great Path to perfection of that higher realm. Enlightened beings that emanate into this world to benefit those living under the acknowledged imperfect conditions here encourage people to not think this world is a final destiny of their evolution. As I have said in a previous column, science is now agreeing with Buddhism regarding the nature of physical reality. Science is now beginning the exploration of the interface between consciousness and the world. For example, the erratic behavior of an electron stabilizes due to perception and has location, otherwise it only rem...

The Real You!

I have been thinking strongly of a method to explain the dynamic between the outside person and the way that they really exist. I will elaborate a bit here so that you understand this dynamic and perhaps even put it into practice. This discussion is not about ultimate reality. This is not about the oneness of all beings. This is not a discussion of whether the ego causes suffering or what realm what deity resides. This is not even a purely buddhist discussion. All ordinary living beings, whether they are atheists, agnostics or members of any religion are, (or behave like they are, for many of them) confused as to how they are actually alive. Again and again, I say that you are not the actual one that is here. None of you who could arrive here is actually the real living being. You are a a version of the actual living being that exists in another way of being. When thinking, moving, planning and accomplishing activities , it is by virtue of the actual you, which is interior to your loc...
