Buddhist musings on Peace and Kindness....

Defeat samsara. Rebuild peace faster than it is breaking up. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~ "Besiege das Samsara. Baue den Frieden schneller wieder auf als er zerbricht." - DGR -- The root, branch and flower of an mature spiritual person is unquenchable kindness. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~ "Wurzel, Geäst und Blüte eines spirituellen Menschen bestehen aus unstillbarer Güte." - DGR -- Remain in your majority for as long as possible. When you were a child you could not make your own decisions and were told what to do. It will be the same when you are old, others will tell you what to do, where to sit and what to eat. There are precious few years when you will be self directed.... use them wisely ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~ "Bleibe so lange wie möglich mündig. Als Kind konntest du keine eigenen Entscheidungen treffen und man sagte dir, was du zu tun hast. Wenn du alt bist, wird es wieder so sein, dass andere dir sagen was du tun sollst, wo du sitzen und was du es...

Hypnotized, Loving Kindness free podcast, Summer meditation get-a-way and other musings

Wearing the innate view of the ordinary person is like a hynotized person believing that they are a chicken. The complex structure of the innate view includes many elements that made you a candidate for human realm even before birth. If we  look at the situation more positively, in a way... perceiving what is illusory as real, protects and guides you in a more natural process of development and preparation for transformation. This correct view should not come by ripping apart your programming- it is better to gently begin to doubt and gradually become ready to enter the stage without foundation- that's all it is! What happen next opens you to new development possibilities- but not until you let go of what is like a messy piece of candy gripped in your hand that seemed all so delicious at one time. So, there is no need to push about emptiness, it's already built into your spiritual DNA that is unfolding as you make steady daily effort with a high quality meditation practice. ~...

War and Failed Relationships

Image
Do not practice war... nor the precursors of war! Do not practice anger.... nor the precursors of anger! do not practice irritation.... nor the precursors of irritation! Instead Practice peace.. and its cause: contentment Practice loving kindness.. and its cause: equanimity Practice joy... and its cause: compassion ~Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~ Today is first day of Yogic Healing training here at Joyful Path Meditation and Healing Center. Course runs for more than one year. Healers training from the inside out and the outside in! Because of our own pain in failed relationships, real empathy is possible to arise. As "experts" in the suffering of heartbreak and damaged relationships, we can relate to the suffering of others in their time of difficulty with others. However, this can only occur when we break free from watching our own suffering. This empathic comp assion sees that everyone is suffering at least as much as I am, and perhaps more! This form of compassion destroys...

Getting along with Friends

Image
Too much sugar or too much salt in our food tastes bad. Too little sugar, too little salt also tastes bad. Like that, relationships that are too clinging, too controlling, not enough sweetness or exciting enough might cause us to seek friends elsewhere. Actually, from a Buddhist point of view, we will have to learn how... to get along with all other living beings.... and beyond that, we will decide to learn how to best benefit them. Eventually, like the Buddha of Compassion, Chenrezig, we will promise to rescue them! Anyway... begin in easy way... try to get along......

New Ideas about Ancient Principles part three

Image
The suffering human condition and what needs to be resolved are the same today as 10,000 years ago, 5,000 years ago, 50 years ago, yesterday, and even today. That is because each individual needs to be healed and must discover the deep remedies. The answers to perennial problems and deep questions are ancient principles that remain fresh and untainted by time passing. The difficulty of recognizing ancient principles is because there is no musty odor to these advices that could degenerate into sentimental attitudes toward the past. One of the continuing issues humans face is the need to learn how to get along with others. Interestingly, there are only two reasons why you arrived in the human realm. Number one is to learn the true nature of compassion, and number two is to learn how to get along with others. All of the relationship complications that you, I, and others make are subsidiary, permutations and confusions of these two main issues. If we are not working on either one of...
