Even in ordinary life, any valuable activity will be accompanied by conflict. It is nearly a sign of doing the right thing to have detractors. For example: His Holiness the Dalai Lama, a highly commendable person with few (if any) faults, is maligned by millions of people and many others who are taught to hate him. Je Pabongka Rinpoche, who lived an exemplary life was one of the greatest lamas of Tibet, and is quite regularly maligned after being gone about 70 years. Gandhi was killed out of hatred. The previous Panchen Lama was killed. Jesus was killed. Being maligned and insulted seems to be a feature in the lives of many great beings.| Reactions: |
Today is Friday the 13th, a day of great trepidation for some who wait for inauspicious events to occur. It is easy to reason that today there will be babies born, people will die, objects will be lost and lost objects will be found. Bad things definitely will happen today! For those looking for trouble based on a Western calendar date, they will find it. I choose to not believe in the curse of Friday the 13th, applied to every day of my life! I not only wish to emphasize the positive but I am not going to live life looking for trouble! ~Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~| Reactions: |

The supporting structure of the delusions is a primary agenda of self interest. Our problems are still being solved by means of our delusions because not only do we want to solve the problem, we want to win! When the day arrives that the problem is resolved whether we personally win or lose... that will be a turning point! ~DGR ~~~| Reactions: |
We wash clothes because they stink and are offensive to others or because they were innocent victims of stains. We wash or purify our mind by steady daily meditation practice for the same darn reasons. ~DGR ~~~~| Reactions: |
Enthusiasm to be of service to others must be tempered by the wisdom that does not become rigid in the face of failure (or success) ~DGR ~~~~| Reactions: |
If specific karmic causes never meet their supporting conditions, specific problems will never come to fruition. However, with a “go with the flow attitude”, suffering causes and ripe conditions will come together easily without resistance. Without making effort to arise favorable conditions that will support spiritual development, causes and conditions will create suffering events that did not need to come together.| Reactions: |

Impatience is not the opposite of patience, but an entirely different dynamic, which uses a very different approach in dealing with problems. However, the dysfunction of impatience is squatting in the awareness position where patience needs to be seated, but cannot, because they are so very different in perceptual nature. The problem is that good people feel they must pour patience upon impatience as the excellent remedy by diluting it enough to be able to tolerate the stressful and aggressive feelings. It seems to them that by injecting enough patience in the form of tolerance or intellectual justification toward the object, somehow that will destroy impatience. Impatience cannot be overcome by practicing patience as a long term strategy. As long as the seeds of impatience remain, a true child of anger and self-cherishing, we will not experience patience in its true form, a valid tool for peace. ~Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~~~| Reactions: |

Gather each gray hair that falls and each gray hair from your brush or comb. Place them in a container on your altar. This is your dharma teaching to yourself about the certainty of aging and impermanence. ~DGR ~~~| Reactions: |
The reason we experience problems is because we have karma from previous negative actions ripening, whether from this life or from a previous life. If we approach it with wisdom, courage, and dignity this time, we can not only to exhaust that karma that plagues us with problems, but also prevent activating it again in... the future by creating closure. Without that, we give tacit approval for it to continue, allowing it to cause excessive distress to the mind, which is the actual cause of further consequences. ~Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~| Reactions: |
Beyond words is meaning, and beyond meaning are concepts. Concepts are connected to a need, and common to all spiritual paths, I believe, is the need to develop equanimity. To do that, we need a way to understand concepts and that is done through agreement on word usage.| Reactions: |

If we possess a naturally happy mind, we should greet it with joy as if discovering gold. If we do not have a happy mind, we are even more fortunate! We then have the opportunity to be an anarchist, an alchemist and a magician. Through the processes of Buddhist destruction, Tantric transformation and Bodhisattva manipulation of illusory forms, craft a happy mind with the nature of tested and clarified gold from the base elements of the delusions. ~Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~~| Reactions: |
The lower Nirvanas are a kind of formless realm with remainder. A forced entry into the lower Nirvana through disciplined mind alone will result in rebirth in a form realm without benefit due to the remaining karma that were set aside. ~Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~| Reactions: |
More than water, we need mental sustenance. Most people are quite concerned to have clean water, but how many think about the quality of mental nourishment we get from our environment or even our own perceptions. A Buddhist education, such as reading and contemplating the Four Noble Truths provides us with a healthy diet so that we can grow up big and strong! ~DGR ~~~| Reactions: |
