Seated for a Teaching in the Air

Image
The Heruka tantras, the highest, most comprehensive of all of the Buddhist tantras revealed in this world-system, are associated with practices traditionally done around Mount Meru, as well as other places. Mount Meru is also known as Kailash and called Khang Rinpoche or precious snow mountain by Tibetans and is the c enter of the Heruka world. Many Heruka practitioners are not in human form. There are ancient Heruka practitioners, who remain unseen to the human eye while attending teachings of their interest and training. Each one attending is seated according to their qualities and their class of being. Some will be seated on chairs, some will be on cushions. Others will be seated in the air and some of those present to receive the teachings will be seated in places in the vast interior. ~Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~~ "Die Heruka Tantras, die höchsten, umfassendsten aller buddhistischen Tantras die in diesem Weltsystem offenbart wurden, werden mit Praktiken assozi...

Classes of Buddhist Tantras and Initiation Permission

Image
All Buddhist tantras have awakening, bodhichitta and inner energetic development as goals. However, there are several different classes of tantra, some which will work at specific issues such as the development of compassion, healing abilities or removal of obstacles. These practices are purely transcendent, preparing for life in the next stage of transformation, and therefore the connection to one who possesses that development is most important. Even without initiation, to attend a group recitation and practic...

It is the Healthy Ego Which Attains Enlightenment

Image
It is the healthy ego which attains enlightenment. That means that the result of correct Buddhist training does not beat our sustaining life force but enters it into correct alignment with higher being. This is the method of the Heruka tantras. There is a renewed life force vigor that comes from aligning our energetic being with higher functioning values of heroic compassion inner models. To damage our life force by beating it into submission when we begin to feel stronger and more capable, weakens the trust between body and mind and would prevent correct tantric practice. Inappropriate pride that struggles to control what belongs to higher being is the wrong ego and false self. Compassion practices change our perceptions about self and its relationship to others and allows false pride to dissolve. The reduction of self-cherishing dissolves wrong views based on primary self-interest and allows the remaining self-interest to attach to a valid transitional object; whatever is the current...
