A New View of Oneself with Buddhist Golden Rule

Image
Buddhas, bodhisattvas, and accomplished meditators experience the unity of all living beings after examining it in several ways. I feel that the golden rule is a valuable tool for that realization by reflecting how it would feel if my specific action toward another were actually them doing that to me, how I would feel, and how I might approach my intended action differently. The other part of this higher preparation view is a deep understanding of how all sentient beings are suffering; seeing oneself as a part of that faceless mass of beings will present a new view of oneself. Then, the golden rule will definitely cause us to see, that from the viewpoint of compassion, the dilemma of harming another harms all because of interconnectivity. A premature and inappropriately simplistic view that we are all one should be instead used as an aphorism for the accomplished transformation after completing the preparation steps. It is only by the return from the complex preparation...

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder: Its Probable Cause

Image
Perhaps some cases of post traumatic stress disorder are due to a shock and shift of the natural veil that must remain stable between the conscious and unconscious mind. Shock would bring the subconscious forward, but unable to endure the life of an ordinary human being will cause it to be emotional, jumpy, have visions (of its natural place), stress and other symptoms. Therapies that acknowledge the shift in position might calm them enough to be able to assume their more interior proper location. Trying to acclimate the inner being to outer life probably will not help them. Reassurance that this is a temporary situation might also help.

A Little Bird is Telling You!

Inner minds are the gold mines of worldly spirituality. "Reprogramming the Subconscious Mind for Fun and Profit" ... hee hee! Alert! Alert! Modern Buddhism needs to step up educational efforts to counteract the damage from this amateur magician foray into what is a real inner science. The real purpose of spirituality is transcendence into the next stage of evolutionary development. Inner minds of the developed is the multidimensional life force, never to be used like an overloaded pack donkey!

Mystery of Emptiness & Love (excerpt on multiple inner minds)

Image
Buddhist sages and other early inner scientists discovered that we possess more than one subconscious or subtle conscious mind, which they have identified as inner, subtle minds. These inner minds have various kinds of veils or barriers that separate them from each other as well as from the outer conscious mind. There are very specific energetic pathways toward higher development. Unlike walking into a lobby with many doors, there are not multiple doors opening from one main inner location for the purpose of our discussion of inner mind development toward the enlightened state. The structure of barriers and veils and how they work to hold space for higher development is a more secret topic. The important point here is that they do exist. However, please note here that the increasingly subtle minds are only seen as subtle from a human realm perspective, not from the perspective of higher reality. you can order this book from http://www.white-conch.org

I Will Not Have That Ice Cream Cone!

I was in a taxicab in Bali. The driver was lost, and needed to stop and ask directions. As we pulled along side a fellow walking down the road, I said, "Just roll down your window and ask him,” He replied, "Oh no, I am shudra caste. I have to get out to speak to him because he is brahman. Balinese society is much more traditional and stylized than western society, or is it? Your relationship with yourself has become rather stylized over time in a different way. You have developed certain ideas about who you are and what you are capable of and especially what your weaknesses are like shudra or untouchable class believes about them selves. These may not be true weaknesses, but a kind of indoctrinated weakness that has caused you to believe something about yourself that is not true. Because our intention is healing of wisdom it is important to explore mind/body connections that may be unhealed. There is some relationship between your body and your mind that might have created...
