Endurance: The Final Frontier

What are humans made of? ..... the track the bird leaves in the sky, the reflection of the moon in still water, the sound of a bell after it has ended.... that is what humans are made of.. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~

- Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---

Our pets love to be around the juicy meditation energies but they are also unpredictable. They can jump up, bark or meow at any time, and if that should occur while we are in a delicate place, they could cause an energy accident. They can sit on us any old time but it is not a good idea during serious meditation. ( I am pretty sure that many will object to this idea, but it is well considered and presented to you with trepidation.) ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~

- Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---

Every imperfect state of being, including the bodhisattva stage of development is subject to impermanence. Although a bodhisattva is enlightened by human standards, those are not as stringent as later standards such as buddha level beings. Impermanence for the bodhisattva is actually good news. If impermanence did not exist for new bodhisattvas, they could never become more skillful and more highly developed; they would be stuck in a twilight enlightened state when there is still so much for them to learn. If impermanence did not exist, neither the enlightened bodhisattva nor you would be able to benefit others by helping them to change. Form existence, impermanence and change are the fluidity of evolutionary development. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~

- Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---

The orange seed is not yet the orange and must go through a number of transmutations to mature into that. Similarly, our potential for awakening is only the seed and we must undergo many transformations to arrive at the stage where we will finally experience the fruit of victory: the enlightened state.~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~

- Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---

The magical bond that holds our feet to the flames of cyclic existence is called karma. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~

" - Domo Geshe Rinpoche

Wisdom is attracted to spiritual confusion in the same way that a doctor hurries to assess the needs of a bleeding patient. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~

- Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---

I notice that many successful people have a kind of rigidity: doling out pat answers, a forced and creepy kind of friendliness and, by looking more deeply, a real lack of interest.
What a delight to meet those people who have remained sincere and open, in spite of their success.
It is also sad to observe some folks, successful or not, who close down when things don't go their way. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~

- Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---

There are two important transformations of consciousness needed: first must be the motivational awakening, and only later, the energetic awakening in order to become a powerful, capable, and trustworthy Bodhisattva. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~

- Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---
