The Patience of a Buddha?

Even Buddhas operate within the parameters of the possibilities. And so, the omniscient Buddhas have a great deal of patience; instigating actions and then not being impatient while time or other actions are being accomplished. Even the full flowering of the activities of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni have not yet been realized. Isn’t that so? However, if He did not set the wheel of dharma perfectly in motion, so that it would run true and straight, we would not know what level of patience the Buddha experiences while anticipating the fruition.
It is helpful for us to practice patience in the method of Dharma-patience to understand whether our activities are correct and toward the desired result. Sometimes we will need to repair the causes of an anticipated result and sometimes we will need to wait for others to participate and do their part before the fruition can be realized. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~~

- Domo Geshe Rinpoche
