They might be called higher principles in the human realm but there are resources of higher principles beyond the veils of ordinary mind. There are many who say they are buddhist, with simple good intentions that are not buddhist, or even close... if we use higher principles as a living guide. On the other hand, becoming a buddhist by taking refuge, becoming a candidate for vows and holding steady good motivation is wonderful, just not the extraordinary. We always felt that the great ones, Pabonka Rinpoche, Je Tsongkapa and many others were alive in a unique way. I now honor and extend that to other awakened and extraordinary beings as time goes on. ~Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~

Two explanations of the same innate view Classic Buddhism describes the innate view as the error of taking what is transitory and impermanent as permanent. All suffering arises from this misknowledge. However, I have expanded this description to understand that the innate view also bestows a full but minimum set of perceptions that are needed to allow the transmigrating consciousness of a to-be-hu man to participate within the human realm. After the breakthrough of enlightenment, aware practitioners will not discard the minimal basic and now purified innate view but will mold it skillfully into a correct conventional view.
