Sharing Buddhism in the Tibetan Tradition, but not slavishly so.
How Many Ways Can You Become Enlightened?
There are 800 different complete entries into the enlightened state, but the easiest method is developing pure bodhichitta. The practice of many types of entries may cause practitioners to become sidetracked into the siddhas, or worldly power practices. ~Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~
"Es gibt 800 verschiedene Weisen, um vollständig in den erleuchteten Zustand einzugehen, aber die einfachste Methode ist die Entwicklung reinen Bodhichittas. Das Üben vielfältiger Arten von Übergängen kann bei den Übenden dazu führen, dass sie von den Siddhas, den Praktiken weltlicher Macht, abgelenkt werden." - Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---
Mental sinking is an obstacle in meditation and the opposite of mental excitement. The mind wants to drift in a certain way so some antidote needs to be applied. Sometimes the mind drifts and like a little butterfly you dreamily fly to a flower, then think, “Oh, there is another nice flower over there. I think I’ll float over there and look at that.” This is done in a languid way, as though you were about to enter a dream state.
Mental sinking could also be the experience of heaviness in the body that is about to enter sleep. Sometimes from the far corner of the monastery we could hear snores coming from a monk and then everyone begins to titter. One of my American students was not feeling so well one day so she lay down behind the last row of students, and in fact she did start to snore.
You not have cold weather here in California, but people who come from cold cold weather know there is real danger in being exposed to extreme cold and begin to feel sleepy. If they cannot arouse them…
"Someone who is alive, but without outer perceptions, for example, in a coma, still maintains a perceptual link to this world. This is by means of their individual consciousness and interacting with not only their memories but possibly an interaction with the energy of this world that continues to feed their perceptions. This latter method produces a kind of dreamy aliveness that mixes ideas, memories, energetic aliveness of others and the world to interact, but not in such an alert way. When that perceptual web or dynamic is gone and the supporting physical structures such as brain functions and heart functions cannot sustain it, that person is said to die. In Buddhism, however, we take a larger view of the human life process, but not from the exclusive point of view of the physical being" ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~~~

What are humans made of? ..... the track the bird leaves in the sky, the reflection of the moon in still water, the sound of a bell after it has ended.... that is what humans are made of.. ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~
"Woraus sind Menschen gemacht?.... aus der Spur, die der Vogel am Himmel zurück lässt, dem Spiegelbild des Mondes im stillen Wasser, dem Klang der Glocke nach dem Verklingen..... daraus sind Menschen gemacht." - Domo Geshe Rinpoche ---
Our pets love to be around the juicy meditation energies but they are also unpredictable. They can jump up, bark or meow at any time, and if that should occur while we are in a delicate place, they could cause an energy accident. They can sit on us any old time but it is not a good idea during serious meditation. ( I am pretty sure that many will object to this idea, but it is well considered and presented to you with trepidation.) ~ Domo Geshe Rinpoche ~
